Integrated AMU and AMR Surveillance in Aquaculture

Dr. Otto leads this project with the British Columbia Ministry of Agriculture to evaluate antimicrobial use (AMU) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance in the finfish aquaculture industry of British Columbia. It will evaluate surveillance metrics and indicators for reporting and integration of AMU and AMR data for the finfish aquaculture industry and make recommendations for future data collection and reporting. This project will summarize and evaluate AMR in finfish pathogens in the province relative to AMU in the industry.
